Here come the boys at last

Sorry these are so late. Stuff happens and I am now on the mainland working for a while, and it’s a bit too complicated to blog as I’m working for a daily newspaper…
To console you here are somea long-awaited, much requested image of our Uist studs. Blue Chest and Yellow Chest posed for the above pic in a friendly manner. Or was it friendliness? They charged towards me more enthusiastically than the ewes they were meant to be serving! Maybe they thought I needed a Fanny Color! More likely they thought I had nuts. (That’s sheep food you naughty people)
Here’s Yellow Chest. What a fine fellow.

Here he is again, heading for some ladies WITH INTENT.

STOP RIGHT THERE, YELLOW CHEST! Can’t you see those ladies already have Fanny Colors?
(see blog passim)
I shall in time blog again…

As if it ever would have entered my mind to think like that! You naughty girrrrl lol
Nice to be able to put a ‘face’ to the names now.
If I were a sheep I would ‘stand still’ for yellow chest, as he shows he has quite a bit of staying power to be able to run up the hill and still serve the rest of the ewes. Just look at him go! lol
Good luck on the mainland newspaper. Hope you will not be away from Mr Mac too long.

Hallo, I’m delighted to have just found your blog, having spent time searching for one written by someone living in the Scottish Islands. Down here in the far reaches of Cornwall our rams look a bit tame compared with your magnificent boys! Hopefully you will be back on Uist soon, to continue their saga.
Best wishes,
Jane
Thanks for showing us the photos of the “boys”Hope you are having better weather now
