Uist Lady has worked as a journalist in print, radio and television for30 years and is now rediscovering herself through new media.
She began life in Africa, was educated in Edinburgh and Durham, and has since worked throughout Scotland and parts of Europe.
She nurtures the hope that her creative writing will eventually grow into something she can be proud of, but must carry on as a freelance journalist meanwhile, to fund its stuttering development.
She has also started a PR business specialising in the promotion of local food, starting with a contract to promote Scottish Crofting Federation’s Scottish Crofting Produce mark in 2010.
